* Octagon House: Located on Thomas Bridge Rd. in Marion, VA. This eight sided home, built in the 1800's by Abijah Thomas, is said to be haunted by the spirits of the slaves owned by Thomas. Private Property

*Aspenvale Cemetery: Located in Chilhowie, VA. This is one of the oldest cemeteries in the Smyth County Area. Containing many civil wars soliders & many unmarked graves (many with only illegible slate stones, hidden in a grove of trees). Public Cemetery. A.P.A. Investigation #1

*The Martha Washington Inn: Located in Abingdon, VA. This popular attraction is home of many civil war era spirits. One room in particular, is said to be haunted by a solider who visits on a regular basis. Mysterious blood stains on the carpet plague this luxury suite.

*Sinking Springs Cemetery: Located in Abingdon, VA. the cemetery is the final resting place of some unknown confederate dead. The ivy covered crypt, located at the entrance of the cemetery, is said to be haunted by the spirit of a young child, the door of the crypt opens and closes without being touched.

*Chilhowie High School: Located in Chilhowie, VA, school is built on an indian burial site. It is said to be haunted by the spirits of the Native Americans whose graves have been disturbed.

*Low Gap Cemetery (lone infants grave): Located in the Backbone Ridge section of Clinchco, VA. When at the infant's grave at night you can hear the cries of the lonely child.

*Sensabough Tunnel: Located in Kingsport, TN. This abandoned tunnel (still open to through traffic), is said to haunted by the spirits of a murdered family, killed in tunnel. Many reports of phantom apparitions, sounds, and other formations gathered. (as seen on hauntedsouth.tv)

*Waverly Hills Sanatorium: Located in Louisville, KY. This abandoned Tb hospital was the largest of its kind and has a death count of over 64,000 deaths. *White Oak Hill Cemetery: Located in Gatlinburg, TN. This historic cemetery is said to be haunted by the spirits of the original inhabitants of Old Gatlinburg. A.P.A. Investigation #2.

*Rental Cabin-Gatlinburg, TN: Unexpected haunting. Dozens of Orbs captured on camera. A.P.A. Original Report.

*Bell Witch Cave: Located in Rural TN. Home of the infamous Bell witch. History of Hauntings for over a hundred years.

*Bunnyman Bridge: Located in Clifton, Virginia. This local legend is said to be haunted by the spirit of the "Bunnyman" an escaped mental patient, who was supposed to have murdered several people.


*St. Clairs Bottom Church & Cemetery: Located in Chilhowie, VA. This is one of the oldest churches and cemeteries in Smyth County Virginia. It is rumored to be haunted by the spirits of slaves and indians that were forced to sit in a balcony during church services & the cemetery hosts graves over a hundred years old.

*Courthouse, Dickenson County, VA: Located in Clintwood, Virginia. Rumors of hauntings inside of building and outside grounds. Reports of "Phantom Judge" apparition and various other occurences. Orbs in various photos reported.

*Southwestern Virginia Mental Health Institute: Located in Marion, Virginia & formerly known as the Southwest Lunatic Asylum. This facility was built during the 1800's and is said to be inhabited by the spirits of former patients. Also see SwVMHI Cemetery.

*Southwestern Virginia Mental Health Institute Cemetery:Located on the grounds of SwVMHI in Marion, Virginia, the cemetery is currently called "Forget-Me-Nots in Heaven Cemetery". Over 1000 former patients of the former Southwest Lunatic Asylum are buried in unmarked graves. Activity has been reported by those who have entered the area.
